Manic Monday XIX: Best of 2007
Jake Bechtold | December 31, 2007
Hello once again. In just under 24 hours, you and I will be slapped in the face with 2008 (already?). It’s no doubt that 2007 was another huge year in technology. Here’s a look back at what I though were the biggest tech stories of 2007.
- First and foremost, iPhone Mania – Apple launched the iPhone. And they blended it!
- Apple also launched Leopard and a bunch of new products.
- 09-f9-11-02-9d-74-e3-5b-d8-41-56-c5-63-56-88-c0 creates Digg mania.
- January 31st brought out Windows Vista. People still like WinXP better.
- Microsoft also announced Microsoft Surface. Because everything else is a big-ass table.
- Pirate Bay is formed and comes under fire again and again.
- The RIAA abuses their lawsuit privileges, once again. Aren’t we like five years in to this?
- Comcast was busted for throttling bandwidth. I still hate them.
- Best Buy comes under fire for their secret website.
- Google launches Maps Street View. Patrick Norton will never be the same.
- Amazon recommends doing something I really don’t approve of. [Pic]
Besides that last one, that’s this years greatest tech stories. Anything missing? Throw it in the comments. I wish everyone a Very Happy New Year. Stay tuned for another great year of Wired For Gadgets.
